Who is Maureen Cappallo?

I am a founder, Texas real estate broker, and builder, based in Dallas-Fort Worth. I see what isn't connecting, then I build what belongs in between. For businesses, that means helping owner-led companies find where time, money, customers and capacity are getting lost, then building the systems underneath the company to fix it. The owner should not be the operating system.

I own and operate Momentus Real Estate Group, the boutique brokerage I founded in May 2024. Separately, I am building Mo, MiniMo, and Curb. They are their own products, informed by my experience as a broker-owner, not extensions of the brokerage. I learned to build these systems while operating without a traditional internal team.

Nearly thirty years combined in banking and real estate. Canadian by birth, Texan by choice. Licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, TREC #620163.

What is Momentus Real Estate Group?

Momentus is the boutique real estate brokerage I founded in May 2024 after years inside a high-volume model. It is a working brokerage built around a different way of guiding one of the largest financial decisions most families ever make.

Clear answers before showings. One honest conversation before any house gets shown. Care, clarity, and confidence through the transaction. My team and I keep every moving part stitched together, and someone stays in your corner long after the keys change hands.

Momentus operates under TREC Brokerage License #9014872. People first. Houses second.

What areas of Texas do you serve?

I work across eight counties in the Dallas-Fort Worth region: Collin, Denton, Tarrant, Dallas, Ellis, Kaufman, Rockwall, and Grayson.

The brokerage is fully remote, so I meet clients where they actually live and work, not where an office building happens to sit.

What is the difference between Maureen Cappallo and Mo?

Maureen Cappallo is me, the person. Mo is the real estate intelligence platform I am building, and it is being prepared for controlled broker beta testing.

Same founder, two different things. This site, maureencappallo.com, is the human layer: founder, broker, builder. Mo lives at moaihq.com and is the broker-owner platform.

What are Mo, MiniMo, and Curb?

Three products in one family, each pointed at a different part of the same problem.

Mo is the broker-owner platform at moaihq.com, being prepared for controlled broker beta testing. MiniMo is the free public layer, an AI assistant that gives real estate education to anyone who asks at askminimo.com. Curb is the consumer iOS app for homeowners getting ready to sell, live on the App Store at curbapp.co.

Momentus is the brokerage I own and operate. Mo, MiniMo, and Curb are separate products, informed by my experience as a broker-owner. They are what is next.

Do you work with first-time buyers?

Yes. First-time buyers often benefit most from the Momentus model, because the decision is the largest one they have ever made and the learning curve is steepest.

Clear answers before showings. The right questions before any house gets toured. No assumptions about what you already know.

Do you specialize in veteran families?

Yes. More than six hundred of the families I have served are military or veteran families.

Texas is home to one of the largest military communities in the country, and that work has shaped how I think about service, follow-through, and what it actually means to have someone's back through a move.

Do you specialize in new construction?

Yes. New construction is one of my deepest areas of expertise. More than 1,425 of the transactions I have walked families through have been new construction homes, across builders large and small in Dallas-Fort Worth.

That kind of volume gives me a working understanding of how each builder actually contracts, where the real negotiation room sits, what the upgrades are worth at resale, and where the protection points belong in the addenda.

Builder representatives work for the builder. I work for you. That distinction shows up everywhere, from the contract terms to the punch list to the warranty walk.

What is a Ready or Not? session?

A Ready or Not? session is the first conversation you have with Momentus. One honest conversation, 45 to 60 minutes, free, with no obligation on either side. A phone call, a video call, or face to face, whatever works for you.

We talk through where you actually are in the buying or selling decision, then I match you to the right lender for your situation. The lender tells you exactly where you stand and puts it in writing. You get one of three honest answers: ready now, yes but not yet with a plan and a date, or not right now, and that is okay.

No script. No sales push. People first. Houses second.

How do I work with you directly versus your team?

At Momentus, I own the conversation, the matching to the right people, and the coordination from start to finish. If you are buying or selling in the DFW area, start with a Ready or Not? session through Momentus.

If you own an established small business that is too manual, too scattered, or too dependent on you, the Work With Me page on this site is the door. One form. I read every note.

Why did you start your own brokerage?

After years in high-volume real estate, I could see that the model I actually wanted did not exist. I wanted real estate built around the person, not the listing. Clear answers before showings. The right questions before any house was toured. A team that stayed in the family's corner long after the keys changed hands.

So I left, bet everything I had on the build, and started Momentus in May 2024.

Do you do speaking engagements or consulting outside real estate?

Yes. Speaking, podcast conversations, press, workshops, and strategic partnerships on what I built and why, AI employees versus AI agents, building without a team, and real estate clarity. Plain language, from lived experience, without the hype.

I talk about the work and the lessons. I don't discuss financial specifics, client information, or the internals of my systems. The Work With Me page is the door.

How is your approach different from a typical agent?

The industry over-indexes on volume, speed, and closings. I built around the decision instead.

The conversation starts before any house is shown. The roadmap gets written down. The team stays with you after the keys change hands. The technology in the background is designed around how you actually decide, not around the listing.

People first. Houses second.
